InfoHandle Network (“InfoHandle,” “we,” “us”) publishes journalism at infohandle.net. This policy describes the limited information involved in visiting that site.

Who we are

What this site collects

We do not ask you to create an account, leave comments, or submit a form. We do not run a login, a paywall, or a public user database.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs for security and operations. Those logs can include your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.

Fonts and third parties

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive technical data such as your IP address. Google’s policies are published by Google, not by InfoHandle.

Language translation

We offer optional machine translation via GTranslate. If you choose a language other than English, your browser may send the text on the page to GTranslate and its translation providers so the page can be displayed in that language. That service may use cookies (such as googtrans) to remember your choice.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which stories are read and how readers use the site. Google processes that data under Google’s privacy policy. Typical information includes the pages you view, referring site, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and whether you have visited before. We configure analytics with IP anonymization where Google provides it.

We do not use Analytics to serve ads, and we do not send names or email addresses to Google because this site has no accounts or forms that collect them.

Cookies

Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga so return visits can be counted. We do not set advertising cookies of our own. See the cookie notice for details and how to opt out.

Embedded media

Some stories include images hosted on this site. We do not sell personal information. We do not run a comments system, so we do not collect commenter names or email addresses.

Children

The site is a general-interest news publication. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
